The Closing Ceremony of the Training Course on "Capacity Building for Union Leaders via Digital Platforms" by the Cambodia Confederation of Workers Fortunate Concluded Successfully

The Cambodia Confederation of Workers Fortunate (CCWF) organized the closing ceremony of the training course on "Capacity Building for Union Leaders via Digital Platforms," presided over by Mr. Ly Vichet, President of CCWF. The event was attended by union leadership, federation leaders, and a total of 30 trainees at the union's headquarters in Ta Khmau City, Kandal Province.

 

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Mr. Lay Phally, Vice President of CCWF, stated that this training course was organized with the aim of enhancing the knowledge and digital technology skills of union leaders. This initiative seeks to increase efficiency in leadership, management, and the protection of the legal rights and interests of workers and employees, in alignment with the evolution of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0).

He highly evaluated the outcomes of the 2-day training course, emphasizing that the trainees acquired both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. These can be applied in their respective local workplaces to strengthen solidarity and elevate the efficiency of union operations, making them more modern and effective.

On that occasion, Mr. Un Dara, President of the Cambodia Light of Workers Union, also expressed his high appreciation for the organization of this training. He noted that quality training requires meticulous preparation across all aspects, from the venue and classrooms to the instructors, specialized subjects, and quality lesson materials.

  • He praised the selection of digital subjects, which are crucial and in line with global development trends.

  • He commended Mr. Ly Vichet for his dedication and drive to enhance the capacity of union leaders to meet the demands of the digital era.

  • He expressed his expectation that all trainees would apply their newly acquired knowledge and skills to strengthen union organizations and promote the interests of workers and employees in Cambodia.

Delivering his remarks at the event, Mr. Ly Vichet, President of CCWF, expressed his appreciation to the organizing committee, instructors, and all trainees for contributing to the success of this training course. He stated that the course not only provided fresh knowledge but also created opportunities for union leaders to exchange experiences and strengthen their capacities to meet the demands of a digital society.

The President urged all trainees to continue researching, developing their digital skills, and applying their knowledge in practical work. He emphasized that human resource capacity development is a crucial key to building a robust union organization capable of serving its members more effectively.

 

During the occasion, the President also offered a guiding recommendation:

"A strong union begins with leaders who have vision, knowledge, and the ability to utilize technology to serve their members efficiently."

In conclusion, the President thanked the organizing committee, instructors, collaborative partners, and all trainees for their contributions to the course's success. The ceremony concluded in an intimate, joyful, and successful atmosphere, with trainees committing to applying their knowledge and skills to practical use to contribute to the development of the union movement and the promotion of the rights and interests of workers and employees in Cambodia.
